Jul 17, 2025

RADFORD, VA - Evan Davis picked up his first professional win at the GPro Tour's River Championship hosted at the scenic but difficult Pete Dye River Course of Virginia Tech. Playing to an average yardage of 7,500 for the three day event, Evan posted rounds of 71, 66, and 70 for a 9 under par 207. That bested second place finisher Alejandro Alonzo by 2 shots. Evan's second round 6 under par round gave him the 36 hole lead, which he never relinquished. Evan led the field in birdies with 16 and in Par 4 scoring at 7 under par.

This marks Evan's first win since he won the Ohio Valley Conference Championship in April of 2021. Next up, Evan competes in the Kentucky Open at Gibson Bay Golf Course, July 22-24, 2025. Gibson Bay is a venue that Evan knows well, having won a high school event there in August, 2016.
