Sprint to the finish

May 8, 2026

CINCINNATI, OH - Evan put together a bogey-free 4 under par 67 in Thursday's second round of the Clovernook Open. His 2-day total of 8 under par has him one shot out of the lead heading into Friday's final round.

He trails the hometown favorite and defending champion, Daniel Wetterich, who followed his first round 63 with a hard fought 1 under 70 to retain a part of the lead. Wetterich is tied with Evan's fellow Belmont golf alum, Ashton Van Horne whose final 9 hole score of 30 vaulted him to the top of the leaderboard.

As part of the penultimate final round pairing, Evan will be joined by Will Grimmer, an Ohio State golf alum, who posted a 64 in the second round to move into a tie with Evan. The two tee off at 12:20p this afternoon.

With 5 more golfers lurking only 1 shot further back at 7 under starting the day, it promises to be a final round shootout.
